Pumpkin Patch School Tour Docent

Position Summary

Irvine Park Railroad is hiring school tour docents for our Pumpkin Patch tours. Docents help guide classes of students, teachers, and parents through designated Pumpkin Patch activities and keep track of timing to help the program run smoothly. You must be outgoing and able to positively engage with students and teachers. (wage range: $17.50-$20)

Starting wage: $17.50 per hour
Eligible for “Bonus Pay”: $2 per Hour
September 28th – October 30th, 2026
Up to 20 hours per week
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 1:00pm (Minimum 2-3 days)

Core Job Responsibilities

Interacting with students and teachers
Making field trips fun and engaging
Coordinate with other team members to stay organized and timely during the tour

Requirements

Must be comfortable with public speaking and guiding large groups of children
Must be available for the entire event from September 28th through October 30th
Able to work on your feet for up to 5 hours
Must be able to get to and from work
