Irvine Park Railroad's Pumpkin Patch is fun for the entire family! Come out and enjoy the many activities for kids of all ages. The Pumpkin Patch is located just behind the Train Station and admission is FREE! Please note that a gate entrance fee will be charged by the County of Orange for each vehicle that enters Irvine Regional Park.
To celebrate the Halloween season, every child that brings a colored Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch coloring page to the train station will receive an Irvine Park Railroad magnet. For the coloring page, click here.

Pick Your Perfect Pumpkin
Pumpkin prices are based on size.
Take as much time as you'd like to find the perfect pumpkin. The Pumpkin Patch, located in Locomotive Loop just behind the Train Station, is filled with thousands of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes. The cost of the pumpkins is based on size. The Pumpkin Patch is complete with Halloween décor and a farm house feel... and, makes an ideal setting for taking pictures!

Train Rides
1 ticket per person ● children 12 months and younger ride FREE.
This 12-minute train ride, a lot of fun for both children and adults, takes passengers on a scenic ride through beautiful Irvine Regional Park. You're sure to find the perfect pumpkin as the train circles Locomotive Loop and the Pumpkin Patch. All of our Halloween events are fun for all!

Hay Ride
1 ticket per person ● children 12 months and younger ride FREE.
Come aboard our hay wagon pulled by a John Deere tractor for a 20-minute ride through Irvine Regional Park. As you sit on top of hay bales in the wagon, you'll be able to view some of the most beautiful park scenery in Orange County.

John Deere Tractor Racers
1 ticket per child ● children ages 3 – 7.
This new attraction for 2008 is great for any child up for the challenge of peddling a John Deere tractor racer around a safe and fun obstacle course. The tractor racers are a true-to-life replica of real tractors!

Halloween Bounce House Jumper
1 ticket per child for 15 minutes of jump time.
Children will have a blast as they jump for joy in the pumpkin bounce house. The pumpkin bounce house is truly one of the most popular Pumpkin Patch activities.

Face Painting (Weekends Only)
2 tickets per face painting.
Every Saturday and Sunday, a skilled artist will turn visitor's faces into something sweet or scary. Witches, pumpkins, ghosts and more... face painting is another favorite Pumpkin Patch activity!

Enjoy all the favorites from hot dogs and hamburgers to cotton candy and freshly-popped popcorn. Plan on a picnic lunch inside of the Pumpkin Patch... there are plenty of shade-covered benches to enjoy a picnic.

Both children and adults are sure to have fun navigating through the giant hay maze. Bales of hay are stacked at different heights... and, you must use your intuition to work your way through the winding paths to get to the end of the maze.

Create lasting memories by taking photos in the festive, fall picture stands. Children and adults can pose together in a picture stand too!

Guess The Weight of the Giant Pumpkin
Free for all individuals who have an email address.
Guess the weight of the giant pumpkin and the winner will take the pumpkin home! In order to enter the contest, a valid email address must be provided. The winner will be notified by email.

Costume Day
Free for all children age 12 and younger.
Every child that wears a costume to the Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, October 25th will receive a FREE Irvine Park Railroad goodie bag! The costume day is just one of Irvine Park Railroad's many Halloween activities that are fun for all children.

Pony Rides (Closed Mondays)
$4.00 per child.
A visit to the Pumpkin Patch will be complete when your child saddles up to ride the walking or trotting ponys. The ponys, located next to the Train Station, are a lot of fun for children to ride.

Orange County Zoo
$2.00 per person (Children 2 years and younger enter FREE)
Visit the Orange County Zoo that over 100 animals native to Southern California call home. There is a petting zoo, too, an ideal activity for young children. The zoo is a 5-minute walk from the Pumpkin Patch.

Paddle Boats
$10.00 per half hour ● open weekends only.
Have fun taking the paddle boats onto the lake. Older children and adults can paddle at your leisure while enjoying the great lakeside scenery. Open weekends only.

Enjoy biking around beautiful Irvine Regional Park on our tandem bikes, side-by-side bikes or single rider bikes. Open weekends only.
