Take as much time as you'd like to find the perfect pumpkin. The Pumpkin Patch, located in Locomotive Loop just behind the train station, is filled with thousands of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes. The cost of the pumpkins is based on size. The Pumpkin Patch is complete with Halloween décor and a farm house feel... and, makes an ideal setting for taking pictures. If you're looking for a fun Halloween event in Orange County... with hundreds of pumpkins, this is the Pumpkin Patch for you!

This 12-minute train ride, a lot of fun for both children and adults, takes passengers on a scenic ride through beautiful Irvine Regional Park. You're sure to find the perfect pumpkin as the train circles Locomotive Loop and the Pumpkin Patch. Our Halloween activities are fun for all! 

Hay Ride

1 ticket per person ● Children 12 months and younger ride FREE.

Weekdays:  10:00am - 4:00 pm

Come aboard our hay wagon pulled by a John Deere tractor for a 20-minute ride through Irvine Regional Park. As you sit on top of hay bales in the wagon, you'll be able to view some of the most beautiful park scenery in Orange County.  

John Deere Tractor Racers 
1 ticket per child ● Children ages 5 – 7.

 
Weekends:  10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Weekdays:  10:00 am - 4:00 pm

This attraction is great for any child up for the challenge of driving a motorized John Deere Tractor racer for 5 minutes around a safe and fun obstacle course. Younger siblings or friends can ride along in the passenger seat for an additional ticket!     

Halloween Bounce House Jumper
1 ticket per child for 10 minutes of jump time.

Weekends:  10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Weekdays:  10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Children will have a blast as they jump for joy in the pumpkin bounce house. The pumpkin bounce house is one of the most popular Pumpkin Patch activities.

Face Painting

2 tickets per face painting.

Weekends:  10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Weekdays:   11:00 am - 4:00 pm 

A skilled artist will turn visitor's faces into a creative work of art. Witches, pumpkins, ghosts and more... face painting is another favorite Halloween activity for the entire family.

Carnival Games

1 ticket per person.

Weekends:  10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Weekdays:  10:00 am - 4:00 pm 

With 1 ticket, children can try their luck at two carnival-style Halloween games. That's double the fun and every child wins a prize!

Panning for Gold

2 tickets per person.

Weekends:  10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Weekdays:  10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Children will have 5 minutes to try and strike it rich just like a real 49'er! Be on the look out for claim jumpers that are looking to get rich the easy way. Panning for gold at Irvine Park Railroad is one of the most popular Halloween activities in Orange County!

Enjoy all the favorites from hot dogs and hamburgers to snacks, sodas and ice cream. Plan on a picnic lunch inside of the Pumpkin Patch... there are plenty of shade-covered benches to enjoy a picnic. Cotton candy and freshly-popped popcorn are available weekends.

Haunted House
Free for all Pumpkin Patch visitors.

Weekends:  10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Weekdays:  10:00 am - 4:00 pm 

The spooky haunted house is not too spooky for even the youngest Pumpkin Patch visitors. 

Giant Hay Maze
Free for all Pumpkin Patch visitors.

Weekends:  10:00 - 6:00 pm

Weekdays:  10:00 - 4:00 pm  

Both children and adults are sure to have fun navigating through the giant hay maze. Bales of hay are stacked at different heights... and, you must use your intuition to work your way through the winding paths to get to the end of the maze.   

Picture Stands

Free for all Pumpkin Patch visitors.

Weekends:  10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Weekdays:  10:00 am - 4:00 pm 

Create lasting memories by taking photos in the festive, fall picture stands.  Children and adults can pose together in a picture stand too!

Guess The Weight of the Giant Pumpkin   

Free for all individuals who have an email address.

Guess the weight of the giant pumpkin and the winner will take the pumpkin home! In order to enter the contest, a valid email address must be provided. The winner will be notified by email.
 

Pony Rides 

$4.00 per child. Irvine Park Railroad does not own or operate the pony rides. Irvine Park Railroad tickets are not valid for the pony rides. Pony ride tickets must be purchased at the pony ride ticket booth.

Weekdays:  11:00 am - 4:00 pm

A visit to the Pumpkin Patch will be complete when your child saddles up to ride the walking or trotting ponys. The ponys, located next to the train station, are a lot of fun for children to ride. 

The Orange County Zoo
$2.00 per person ● Children 2 years and younger enter FREE.

Weekends:  10:00 am - 4:30 pm

Weekdays:  10:00 am - 3:30 pm

Visit the Orange County Zoo that over 100 animals native to Southern California call home. There is a petting zoo, too, an ideal activity for young children. The zoo is a 5-minute walk from the Pumpkin Patch.

Wheel Fun Rentals at Irvine Park Paddle Boats

Weekdays:  Closed 

Have fun taking the paddle boats onto the lake. Older children and adults can paddle at your leisure while enjoying the great lakeside scenery. The last boat goes out 1/2 hour before closing time.

Enjoy biking around beautiful Irvine Regional Park on our single surrey, double surrey, deuce coupe, chopper, quad sport or single rider bikes. The last bike goes out 1/2 hour before closing time.
